With reference to my letters C.R.S.S.13095 dated 29th June uni 1st July,,1918, recommending the Reverend C.E. Swinnerton for service in the Imperial Forcas, I have the

gentleman honour to inform you that this darrerent borrowed from the Hongkong Government the sum of £38 to assist him on bis passage home, and that the Hongkong Government is now claim- -ing a refund.

2. I would refer to parne. 2 and 3 of my letter dated 29th June (quoted above) and would submit for favourable consideration that this sum of £38 may be credited to the Hongkong Government on behalf of the Reverend Swinnerton,
